The jeans market is currently awash with beautiful eye-poppingly bright coloured denim jeans - a great way of brightening up your winter wardrobe. New in to Cavells are J Brand's famous 811 Japanese twill in two beautiful colours - emerald and sapphire. This twill is fabulously soft and comfortable to wear and once tried, you realise that J Brand really live up to their reputation.
An alternative from NYDJ comes in bright scarlet and electric blue, also in a soft brushed cotton. These are slightly higher waisted and 'ankle peg' length and look great with some of the statement boots around this winter.
Do come in and have a look at them - you won't be able to resist!

Cavells were pleased to host another successful make-over morning today. The day started with coffee and biscuits and a talk from Rosie about the latest trends and how to adapt them in a more 'realistic' wearable way. Mannequins had been dressed and styled from Cavells and Cavells South Street and Rosie also talked about this. Our two make-over volunteers, mother and daughter, Barbara and Amy, were then unveiled looking fantastic, re-styled and hair and make-up done. Simon Cawthorne had done the hair, and Mary - a Cavells assistant, had done their make-up.
Amy was dressed in a bird-printed Equipment shirt, with a Joseph tweed Jacket, Jackpot jeggings and Vic boots for her casual outfit, and then wore a stunning sequinned David Meister dress with Vic suede shoes.
Barbara was dressed in Rosemunde lace trim vest, Madeleine Thompson red sweater with a Carlo Bruno woolen trimmed scarf, Brax trousers and Paco Herrero boots. Next she wore D'exterieur dress with a Caroline fur collar, Wolford tights and Unisa patent shoes.
The make-over was followed by a quick talk on Clarins and their latest products.
Time for shopping before lunch at Hambleton Hall to finish off the day.
I hope you enjoy the photographs below of Amy and Barbara's make-over. If you are interested in coming along to our next make-over morning, please call us on 01572 770372.

We are now stocking a beautiful vintage inspired collection from Marilyn Moore. This London based label has a eclectic boho style which fits very well with the current trend for 1940's glamour.
The pieces are made from beautiful, high quality yarns from Europe, with skirts and dresses made from silks and cottons. The knitwear is beautifully classic and of the best yarns.
This photo shows Marilyn Moore in Cavells window - looking very stylish!

We have just received an exciting delivery of some beautiful silk shirts from Equipment.
For those of you who are not already familiar with Equipment, their signature silk blouses in a sophisticated palette of colours are just the thing to update your wardrobe. For now we just have a couple of colours and a distinctive chiffon bird print, but we are expecting a further delivery shortly before Christmas.
Well worth popping in store or looking on-line for a look.

-
We are now stocking a beautiful new collection of knitwear from Chinti and Parker. Chinti and Parker was launched in October 2009 when they spotted a gap in the market for great British luxury basics made in an ethical way.
Their philosophy is to stand for the opposite of 'fast fashion'. All the cottons used are organic and the cashmere is absolute top quality 'Loro Piano' yarn from Italy. The proof of this attention to quality and detail is in the end result, as the kniwear has a handfeel superior to any other. The styling is classic with a twist and I'm sure any of the pieces will be firm favourites in your wardrobe for years to come.

Please come and have a look in Cavells or look on-line at www.cavells.co.uk

I'm sure lots of you love the 120% Lino summer collections which we have stocked in Cavells for many years, and has a really strong following. Happily, this winter we are pleased to be stocking a new winter collection from this Italian brand - and the response to this has been very positive.
Currently, we have just a small collection of beautiful collectable pieces. The collection is styled from silks, cottons, velvets and wools and has a gentle vintage vibe. Of particular note is a gorgeous loosely fitted velvet jacket with silk trimming which would look fantastic either with jeans by day or with a little dress in the evening. A muted vintage-look floral print has been used throughout the collection to great effect - and is a subtle nod to the floral trend that anyone could wear.

Although Maxi Dresses have been hovering around the fashion fringes for the last few years, this year they are really making their mark and with the beautiful weather we have enjoyed over the last month they have come into their own. It is a sure sign of a summers day seeing people wafting around in a beautiful floaty maxi dress with simple flip flops or gladiator style sandals, and much more flattering for most that the other current trend for super short shorts!
In Cavells, we have a wide range of wearable maxi dresses - from glamorous silk printed ones from Libelula that could easily be dressed up for the smartest of occasions, to the other end of the spectrum with a simple tie-dyed cotton dress from Velvet. For hot summer days, our blue and white floral linen 120% dress is perfect, and can be accessorised with a denim jacket or little shrug for a slightly more formal occasion. Carrying on the denim theme, Beaumont Organics have designed a very fine mid-denim maxi dress with a peter pan collar which is extremely versatile and bang on trend.

This weeks Sunday Times 'Style' magazine report that white blazers are zooming up the style charts to take up number one position in the fashion stakes this spring.
Cavells are pleased that we have various options to fit the bill in store at the moment. Joseph have designed a classic stretch cotton 2 button jacket in white (£305.00). Alternatively, consider the Emmerick Blazer from Josephine @ Co (£285.00) - slightly longer in length with three buttons.
For a different take on the blazer, Cavells stock a beautiful belted cotton jacket with hidden poppers in a creamy white (£379.00)
All of the above would make a very good investment piece as they are classically fashionable and will be wearable for years.

We're desparate for a Baby Bag!
Fashion's newest shape for handbags is mini - proportions have been scaled down dramatically from the big old super-size handbags we lugged around to something rather more practical. Mini versions of must-have designer styles, like Mulberry's Alexa, are now highly covetable.
Cavells are stocking some seriously tempting mini handbags. My personal favourite is the baby Alexa from Mulberry, which comes in watermelon and oak. Even tinier - and perfect for an evening out on the town - is the shrunken Lily in sparkle tweed from Mulberry.
Contact us at Cavells for any information on these bags and we would be delighted to help you.

-

We are thrilled to announce that Superdry is now available to buy at Cavells South Street and online at www.cavellscountry.co.uk. We received our first delivery last week and it looks great on the shop floor, sitting beside other brands in South Street such as White Stuff, Part Two, Star Mela and Avoca.
Our customers' initial response on Saturday was very positive, with quite a few pieces flying off the shop floor. With the sunny season just round the corner, I recommend a visit as there are some fantastic casual pieces in this collection at affordable prices - for men and women.

Last Thursday Cavells hosted an evening of fashion, music, canapes and champagne with its bi-annual fashion show. We were delighted to be hosts to over a hundred guests, all of whom appeared to really enjoy the evening.
This year we are raising money for Macmillan Cancer Research and proceeds from the ticket sale and the raffle will be donated to this very worthy charity. A spokesperson from the charity, Mrs Trish Ruddle, came to give a very interesting and informative talk about what the funds will be used for. A highlight of the evening was the raffle, which is now renowned for its fantastic prizes, which included a voucher for Cavells, a pair of designer jeans from Paige, a Damsel in a Dress outfit and a Marc Cain suitcase.
Over sixty outfits were modelled on a raised catwalk by models made up of staff and friends of Cavells. As you can see from the photographs below, we think they did a fantastic job and looked very professional.
If you are interested in attending one of our regular fashion shows, do give us a call on 01572 770372 and we can ensure you are added to our mailing list.

Tiny, super-size, vintage or botanical, if its covered in flowers, we've got in at Cavells. One of the themes emerging this spring has been 'floral' and we have some lovely pieces in Cavells with which you can add a nod to the trend. For those who don't wish to wear bold prints top to toe, don't worry - there are lots of pretty accessories around.
Paul Smith have a beautiful pansy print this season which they have used on a shopper bag, overnight bag and a silk scarf - all equally vibrant and stunning. They are accessoriesed this print with a 'bug' themed wallet which is really original. Josephine, a Belgian brand, have used florals to great effect on skirts and dresses . 120% Linen, have produced a very pretty faded rose print in blue and white printed on their classic linen pin-tuck shirt.
Sitting within the botanical theme, are some pretty blouses from Gerard Darel and Marc Cain with butterfly images, and these look best teamed with some plain chinos or plain denim.
-
There is a whirlwind of style inspiration from the '70s this spring - and we feel we can introduce this look into your wardrobe in a non-frightening way!
We have got some very wearable maxi dresses from Velvet, Beaumont Organics and Olive and Orange - all of which can be worn in a very casual 'day' way, teamed with a simple cardigan or a denim jacket and flipflops.
Clogs are still strong this spring and we have introduced Sanita which offer an extremely comfortable clog in a mid-height, which look fantastic either worn with skinny jeans, cargo pants or the new more flared shape jeans which are reappearing. Alongside the clogs, we have some great espradrille wedges from Penelope Chilvers, Toni Pons and Castaner due in any day now. Vic have produced a great collection of platform shoes and shoe-boots in subtle neutral colours.
All of the above would look fantastic worn with a floppy straw hat - and for this you should look no further than Helen Kaminski - from whom we have a large collection of hats and accessories.
-
Introducing Exciting New Brands to Cavells ;
We have been very happy to add some new brands to sit alongside current favourites in Cavells.
Gant for Men is famed for traditional American styling with European flair and is already proving a firm favourite with our male customers.
For women, we have Escada Sport for classic pieces with a splash of colour, Rosso35, an Italian collection of easy summer day dresses and Fabiana Filippi offering expert Italian tailoring with impeccable attention to detail.
Not forgetting, of course, new accessory brands for scarves, jewellery and handbags - in particular Anya Hindmarch which has a stunning collection of bags and ladies accessories.
All of the above is available to view and buy online, and of course, now in the shop.
-
It was London Fashion Week at Somerset House last week, and the Cavells team were happy to note that the must-have accessory on show with the fashion pack is still the Mulberry handbag - and this is a brand that we feel confident looks equally at home on the cat-walks in London as it does on the streets of Oakham.
We now have a huge range of Mulberry handbags in stock and this brand is stronger than ever. The latest addition to the Mulberry family of styles is the Tillie handbag which comes in several different sizes, and obviously different leathers and colours. My personal favourite is the chain-handled Tillie in silky-snake print oak which is classic with a twist.
The Alexa bag is still proving very popular and we are stocking this in classic colours such as oak and black, alongside brighter seasonal colours of plum and watermelon. Mulberry have introduced a baby Alexa this season which is absolutely irresistable and is deceptively spacious inside. I succombed to the baby Alexa in watermelon and have used it constantly for work, travel and shopping and it is the perfect bag for me and very comfortable to carry across the body.
Another addition to this seasons collection is the Bayswater Satchel and this comes in a beautiful powder blue printed snakeskin - a very subtle colour which looks gorgeous with denim or more classic colours.
I hope you are tempted to come and look at the Mulberry collection in the shop - I can assure you, you will not be disappointed!
-
Love is in the air, well at least it should be, with Valentines Day just around the corner!
There is certainly lots to love at Cavells with new and exciting stock arriving every day. The collections this season are very impressive, with fantastic new stock from old favourites such as Jackpot, Joseph and Odd Molly to new designers Sita Murt, Anya Hindmarch and European Culture - all of which are swiftly building a faithful following. To keep each piece exclusive, we limit each collection to piece in each size so it really is worth looking in store or on line regularly as certain pieces fly out so quickly.
For those of you looking for presents for Valentines Day, there is lots to offer. Pink, raspberry and watermelon tones are fashionable this season which makes an uplifting change to all the darker winter colours we have been used to. Mulberry have recreated the now infamous Alexa handbag in a beautiful eye-popping watermelon shade and they have now added a 'baby' Alexa to the family which we are stocking in oak and watermelon. Paul Smith accessories are outstanding again, with a stunning pale pink scarf with a heart design being my personal favourite.
And don't worry - we haven't forgotten the men! There are some perfect presents from Paul Smith cufflinks, wallets and socks, Mulberry accessories to shirts and sweaters from Hartford, Ralph Lauren, Hackett and Gant.
-

Not Your Daughters Jeans have been popular in Cavells for years now, with many of our customers so delighted with the fit and comfort that they buy multiple pairs at a time.
Cavells customers have been proved ahead of the game, as NYDJ have just been voted No 1 jeans by Good Housekeeping readers. NYDJ, otherwise known as 'tummy-tuck' were tested and shown to have the best fit of all the tested jeans, and given 5 points out of 5. The jeans were found to be supportive, flattering and comfortable.
We have got a good selection in-store at the moment, with some fantastic new styles due to arrive any day now for spring. Do pop in and have a look, or just phone us if you would like to know what we have available.

GANT FOR MEN
We are pleased to announce that we are now stocking Gant for Men, alongside the Gant for Ladies which we have successfully been selling for the last couple of years. We are delighted with the collection that has arrived for spring/summer and feel confident that it is going to be very popular. Gant premium lifestyle brand combines American casualness with European elegance. The company's values are based on its authentic American East Coast heritage, dating back to the launch in 1949. Since then Gant has been further developed, taking influence from Europe, and is now a truly global brand.
Rosie, our visual merchandiser, has utilised a large area at the back of the mens department to its best advantage and the collection makes a great visual impact, with eye-popping colours for the summer.
The Gant for Men collection is available to buy on our website, or come and browse the collection in store.

Christmas has well and truly started here at Cavells, with the tree going up last week and our Christmas windows being decorated today. The tree looks stunnning as ever, decorated in jewel bright colours and taking centre stage in the middle of the shop. Karen, our in-house visual merchandiser, has worked her magic with the windows, replacing the mannequins heads with huge tinsel covered baubles and she has worked tirelessly creating enormous over-sized sparkly balls which are adorning the space in the window.

As usual, we have countless Christmas present ideas in Cavells. For women, we can offer accessories from Paul Smith, Mulberry and now Anya Hindmarch as well - all of which should make a beautiful present for those looking for inspiration. We are also stocking a huge range of cashmere scarves, pashminas and gloves in all the colours of the rainbow. We haven't forgotten the men this Christmas, and there are lots of ideas in the mens department too - with Paul Smith accessories flying off the shelves, Hackett and Ralph Lauren - just to name a few. We have also just received a delivery of Sunspel boxers, another new brand for Cavells.

We are very happy to offer a free gift-wrapping service for those who would like it - just remember to allow a little extra time to the end of your shopping trip.

-
We are all very excited here at Cavells about the arrival of a new luxury collection of handbags and accessories from Anya Hindmarch. It is the first season we have stocked Anya Hindmarch, and each piece is every bit as beautiful as we had expected and hoped for. Anya Hindmarch is renowed for her stylish yet practical designs and each piece is finished off to perfection, with her signature gold ribbon detail.
Ideal for the Christmas parties ahead, is the beautiful Valorie sequinned clutch bag that will add vintage glamour and glitz to any outfit and is available in navy or multi-coloured glitter. For further glamour we are stocking the Neeson shoulder bag in gold leather, and a stunning pale gold small sevilla purse in the classic Anya Hindmarch quilted style.
For more practical purposes, consider the stud shoulder bag in cream or mushroom leather - or the classic Carker bag in shiny black moc croc.
For those looking for inspiration for Christmas presents, there is much to choose from and we really recommend a look - either in-store or on our website - www.cavells.co.uk

The big freeze that we are experiencing at the moment makes dressing to keep warm and still look stylish a real challenge, but we have some perfect coats and jackets in stock to do just that job.
Dom and Ruby make beautiful, soft shearling jackets, coats and gilets that are warm without being too bulky. The flying jacket is this seasons 'must have' and we think the Dom and Ruby one is one of the most attractive and luxurious available at the moment. Alternatively, come and look at the shawl biker jacket in chcolate leather shearling - this is a neat fitted zip up jacket with a fold over collar and big fur cuffs. A little plainer is the twist seam jacket with no collar, in black leather or a beautiful black shearling gilet.
We are also stocking an incredibly glamorous Dom and Ruby long fur-trimmed cashmere ribbed cardigan which would take you to the smartest of parties and could easily be worn instead of an evening coat.
Most of the Dom and Ruby collection is available to buy on our website - so if you are tempted, do take a look.

We have just hosted a fun and informative 'make-over' morning at Cavells. The day started with coffee and biscuits and was followed by a talk from Rosie, our in-house stylist. Rosie talked about fashion, and our approach to it here at Cavells. She discussed an article she had read "describe your style in three words" - and how from initially coming up with "short, chubby and frazzled" she eventually realised she could comfortably settle for "on-trend, creative and casual". Tips for putting the "three words" into reality were firstly pick a colour palette that works with our skin tone, dress appropriately for your age and occasion and lastly always use your style to express your personality.
Tiffany Ross, buyer for Cavells and Cavells South Street, followed Rosie's talk with a quick chat about the buying side of the shop, and a little about what goes on behind the scenes.
Two members of our staff from the offices upstairs had bravely volunteered to be used as the "before and after models" - happily they were both thrilled with the results. They were dressed in two outfits each - one casual and then a party outfit. Their hair had been cut, coloured and styled by award winning hairdressers Simon Cawthorne and Suzi Smith, make-up artist, had done their make up. As you can see from the photographs the transformation was a huge success and interesting for all the audience to see.

One lucky lady in the audience was very happy to find she was sitting on the "golden ticket" - a voucher for Cavells - which I am sure she will have no problem spending!
The rest of the morning was spent shopping in Cavells, followed by a delicious lunch at Hambleton Hall.

Autumn/Winter Fashion Show - Thursday 7 October
Last Thursday we hosted another of the now infamous fashion shows at Cavells and we are pleased to say the evening was a huge success. Reports from guests that came have been extremely favourable, with one person saying it was " the best Cavells fashion show yet". As usual, big thanks go to all the models, all of whom are staff, family and friends and managed to overcome any pre-show nerves to put on a fantastic show.
We tried to encapsulate the major fashion stories for this season within the show - and divided up the evening into categories as such - simplicity, call of the wild, dressing up box, emblishments, land girl and the grand finale - party princess. Within these categories we show-cased clothes from Cavells and Cavells South Street, presenting looks for all ages and occasions from walking the dog to a big night out.
Our raffle has built up quite a reputation over the years for its amazing prizes, and tickets sold like hot-cakes from the minute the doors opened. Amongst the many prizes were a £250.00 gift voucher, a Marc-Cain suitcase, a pair of Citizens jeans, Dubarry boots and an Escada purse and matching leather gloves. Our nominated charity for 2010 is the Princes Trust and all proceeds from the evening will be donated to them.
The evening kicked off with champagne and canapes, and ended with shopping and the tills ringing till nearly midnight - so all in all a good night and well worth all the hard work and preparation that went on behind the scenes.
If you are not already on our mailing list and would like to be invited to the next fashion show or any of the other events we host, please let us have your details and we will up-date our data base accordingly.

Amongst the many jeans brands we stock are Paige jeans and I have noticed that they are receiving a lot of press coverage at the moment. Not surprising really, as their fit and denims are really special, and I do feel jeans are something worth spending money on when you consider a cost per wear basis.
Last week, Heat magazine showed celebrity Rachel Bilson wearing Paige jeans - styled with chunky knits and high heeled shoe boots. Marie Claire also includes Paige denim in their "top 5 - the holy grail of jeans" - alongside Citizens of Humanity, which we also stock.
We have such a large denim collection in Cavells - and in Cavells South Street - that it would be well worth a visit to the store so one of our shop floor staff can help guide you through the minefield of sizing and shapes. Otherwise, do check-out our website to see a selection of what we have on offer.

The magazines this winter are full of the trend for sheepskin, shearling and faux fur - and we feel we can offer a fantastic selection across all prices at Cavells. In our up and coming fashion show we have a section entitled "call of the wild", featuring eleven stunning outfits made up of cosy knits, shearlings and faux furs.
We are stocking Joseph's shearling gilet in khaki, and also a long haired lambskin gilet in black which really makes a statement, and has been featured strongly in the press this winter. We also stock a beautiful leather and wool coat by Joseph, which is an absolute wardrobe classic.
Due in any day now, is a flying jacket from Dom and Ruby, which has also been photographed a lot in the fashion pages, and is being hailed as this seasons "must have" jacket.
All the girls in the shop are excited to be wearing Penelope Chilvers clog boots, which we stock in dark navy blue or brown and have a beautiful cosy shearling lining - just the thing for cold winter days, and fantastically comfortable.

We are very excited to announce that we are now stockists of the new exclusive Anya Hindmarch for Barbour range which has just been launched, and is only available in select shops across the country.
The collection has been so well received that stock has flown out and far exceeded expected demand, and we have been receiving calls from all over the country from customers desparate to get their hands on these gorgeous padded jackets, quilted with the well-recognised Anya ribbon logo.
The detailing on the jackets is beautiful, and the inside has well thought-out pockets and a beautiful lining.
Well worth coming to Cavells South Street to have a look, or alternatively have a browse on our website.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Andrew and the team at Rockingham Castle for allowing us to shoot our autumn 2010 staff photograph in the Long Gallery.
This amazing room was a natural focal point for gatherings of family and friends at the castle. A frequent visitor of the Castle, Charles Dickens made use of the Long Gallery to stage productions of his plays; the beautiful Gallery would no doubt have provided the perfect backdrop.
We can highly recommend a visit to the Castle and, if you have a chance, any of the many events held regularly within its grounds. We always find the staff friendly and welcoming, and the site itself is simply stunning. You can access the Rockingham Castle website at www.rockinghamcastle.com

Looking around Cavells this morning, I noticed that our boots and shoe collection this year is bigger and better than ever. We really do have footwear for every occasion, with a huge variety of sizes and colours.
Vic Matie and Vic boots are coming in colours from black through to smoky grays and navy, and we had short studded ankle boots, over the knee boots, cowboy boots and smart riding boots. Geox, renowned for exceptional fit and comfort, have done some very glamorous trainers with wedge heels and also wedge ankle boots, offering style and comfort which does not always come together. Ash shoes are offering wedge buckle trainers in chocolate leather and cuban heeled ankle boots. Belstaff are renowned for extremely well-made and distinctive biker boots, and we have these in several colours and styles. For something prettier and more delicate we can also offer glamorous heeled Unisa shoes, or Pretty Ballerina ballet shoes in jewel colours.
Do pop into Cavells and have a look at our collections, or alternatively browse through our websites - I am sure you will not be disappointed.

There are still some really fantastic pieces left in the shop so it is well worth a visit. If you have been hankering after a Mulberry handbag we have several styles now at half price. There is also a good selection of designer jeans - Hudson, Armani, Seven for all Mankind and James.
If you are dodging the English weather, there is a beauiful Armani raincoat, and also some designer Creenstone macs which will surely be useful in the months to come!

Our annual Spring/Summer sale started yesterday with discounts of 30% off most of the latest collections. There is also a rail of clothes with as much as 70% off.
As usual the first day of the sale was completely manic, with the shop crowded with customers from the minute the doors opened at 9.30am. But, if you havent managed to make it into Cavells yet, don't worry there are still plenty of bargains to be had - I really recommend a visit.
Good Luck!

Well, the sun has finally arrived and our priorities swiftly change from keeping warm to keeping shaded and cool! Here at Cavells we stock Helen Kaminski hats which are some of the best desert-island hats I know. Helen Kaminski is an Australian who makes the most relaxed, malleable of straw hats, most of which can roll up so they can be easily packed.
We have several different styles in varying colours; I prefer the natural colour but there are also some gorgeous earthy shades if you like a deeper tone. The sun visors also sell well and are perfect for golf or tennis.

With Wimbledon and the World Cup being played out on our screens, our thoughts have turned to all the fabulous ‘white' clothes we have in-store. Our merchandising team had fun last week creating a world cup window with a make-shift washing line hanging with red and white clothes.
On the sporting front we have some smart Tommy Hilfiger white cropped trousers, polo shirts and white Bermuda shorts. Ralph Lauren as always produce a classic sporting collection with their white v-neck cable knit jumper being a key piece. Gant have also created a collection of easy everyday separates with a nautical navy and white theme which always proves popular.

Here at Cavells we have a longstanding tradition of hosting an in-store charity fashion show twice a year. All our models are local friends, customers and members of staff and truly represent a cross-section of ‘real' women looking absolutely fantastic in the latest trends - styled by our team of in-house stylists.
Last night we are proud to report another huge success - as always it was a total sell-out and the shop was packed with 160 guests. Our chosen charity this year is the Princes Trust and we had a fabulous raffle with prizes donated by Mulberry, Repeat, Paul Smith, Johnstons and Cavells - alongside many others.
Trends represented last night were nautical, "nudes and pastels", summer nights and summer brights. Guests commented after the show that seeing the clothes on real models was really helpful and they were inspired to try and buy!

There may still be snow lining the pavements outside Cavells, but once inside Spring has sprung! Our spring window has been recently decorated with brightly coloured flowers and the mannequins are dressed in the most vibrant colours and prints – making me, for one, feel like updating my summer wardrobe.
Cavells is chock-a-block with the new spring trends – and we are pleased to report a very positive response from our customers – with some lines almost sold out already. Boxes of new exciting merchandise arrive daily and the Cavells back-office team is hard at work unpacking, ticketing and pricing the new arrivals ready for them to be displayed in the store.
The spring season trends are all represented in Cavells new stock. Neutrals, nudes and pastels are proving popular and light relief after the dark colours we have been looking at all winter. Along side the neutrals, we also have the vibrant colours and bold patterns for those wanting to make more of a statement. And, as ever, the nautical look is strong and we have a great offering of striped tops and nautical style blazers with prices to suit all pockets.
Our spring newsletter with further updates on the spring trends is due out any day now so watch this space….. -

We are thrilled to report that Cavells has been featured this week in Drapers Record – in a very positive light. Cavells has been picked as “an indie I admire” by Karl McKeever, brand director of visual merchandising consultancy ‘Visual Thinking’.
Karl has selected Cavells out of hundreds of independent fashion retailers up and down the country and comments “it is a store that would compete favourably with many bigger and more established high street multiples but the thing about the shop is that it still retains all the exclusivity and service you would expect to get from a family-run store”.
The quality of Cavells visual merchandising has been singled out for particular praise, with Karl commenting that our products are merchandised with clarity and focus, and always reflect the current fashion trends and show attention to detail.
Just what we like to hear!
